round 34?

these summer nights keep getting better and better. i'm really glad to be able to spend the summer time in the city. minus the uber cold, ugly weather. last night was another fun night with the bestest people :)

the night began with safeway, baking oreo cupcakes, and cheelin with the boys. then headed over to 2122 to get ready for the nightly adventure. made our way over to ambassador which was a little, lets say, in the older crowd. why do 35 year olds think its okay to act a fool? are you having a mid life crisis? please just go home! left ambassador to go meet up with the boys at the cellar. i found this place really kewl. it was underground-ish with a pool table, bar, and dancefloor. quite cozy i must say. one thing they were doing right was the music! had such a time dancing with the girls minus the creepers galore.

finally cellar closed then walked to otis. didn't get in because they were "closed". dumbass i can hear people still inside, thanks! anyways tired tired tired, so taxi home and pass out.

cheers to sf summer!! im seriously having so much fun even with school and work.

also, can i just point out the weeks have also been great! they've been filled with movies, going out to dinner, making dinners, and going out on random nights.

love love love

lastly, i think elysa would be the only one who loves this song as much as i do :)
Summer days just sitting around but when the sun goes down Ill be ready to party

some goodness in the world

Say hello to Surfrider Foundation and Satchi & Satchi LA new collaborative project. The two have teamed up to bring you the "Catch of the Day". Consisting of actual trash from local beaches, the "Catch of the Day" is packaged and put on display at farmer's market. I think the project is really smart and very inventive. Not only are they collecting trash off the beaches, it brings awareness to how we keep our environment.

"It’s site-specific, appropriate, impacting, meaningful, shocking, and an actual consumer insight into the very act they’re in the middle of. Someone about to buy fish from the same ocean as the trash in their hands can’t help but be at least a little more enlightened as to how pollution isn’t someone else’s problem. "

pianoman

Since I'm leaving for London in a little over a month, I've been browsing of kewl things happening over there.  Well this one won't be up when I get that but its worth mentioning.

"All around London its fellow pianos were waiting, too — 30 of them in a
ll — part of an interactive art project meant to challenge people to come out of their urban insularity and also to provide some summertime music.
The London project is scheduled to last until Monday and has cost about £14,000 (or a bit more than $22,000), Mr. Jerram said. The biggest obstacle was the city’s tangled, multilayered bureaucracy, which required him to obtain a separate music license for each location. He used old, unwanted pianos that people had 'chucked out,'
Best of all, Londoners have resoundingly disproved the stereotype that they are genetically incapable of spontaneous acts of public exuberance. Professionals and beginners; exhibitionists and their impromptu groupies; players of every aptitude from highly gifted to virtually talentless — all have tried their hand at the pianos."

back in the game

sorry for the long hiatus but its been a busy few weeks.
currently back in sf doing work and school.

this past weekend has been one of the most eventful and fun of the summer so far.

it all began thursday with a city girl dinner with cars, elysa, and liana at sushi bistro.  really simple things give the most pleasure!  sounds gross but you know i'm just talking about enjoying good company and good food.

friday was also a really chill night.  went to a parlay in richmond at cars friend, nick's apartment. small world! turns out he's in my class. played civil war, met new people, and turned on my swagga.  didn't get back till almost 4:00.  cuhrazy right?

on saturday, cars and i went in search for a new apartment.  that was a fail.  then watched bruno.  can we just that was the most obscene and hilarious movie?  it was def worth the money.  anyways wasn't planning on doing anything that might. made some last minute decisions and ended up at 111 minna with cars, elysa, liana.  90's party with pretty good music!  some of the essentials were lacking but can't expect everything for $10.  danced danced danced. then moved over to otis plus boys. ridiculously chill and lovely after hours club.  let me just point out one of my favorite parts of the night was just strolling through the empty sf streets.  it was just everything about being young.  roaming the streets without a care and just really enjoying  the moment.  finished the night with naan and some taxi troubles.  but no good night goes without some bumps!

overall, i had a lovely lovely lovely weekend with great friends.  it was everything about being young, carefree, and alive.
